or Call 91-963-003-2193 to Commission a Portrait After
the decision has been made to commission Jayanta to paint a portrait, the artist
travels to the client's location. A minimum of three sittings are required. Session I : Planning Artist
and subject get acquainted; Clothing, background, and purpose of the painting
are defined. Session II : Photo
Session Photos
are taken of the subject in different positions and lighting situations,
sketch made of the head and color notes made of clothing. This session can be
combined with Session I if time is critical. Session III : Approval View
the photographs and select pose (Subject may decide to leave this to the
artist sometimes). Once Artist’s work is completed, the subject is called to
the studio for additional touches and approval. The
artist works in three mediums of portraiture, oil, acrylic, and oil pastel.
The paintings are executed on fine canvas stretched on heavy-duty stretcher
bars. The finished product is extremely durable. With care, oil portraits on
canvas will last many hundreds of years. Thus, a well-done portrait permits
later generations to perceive both the personality as well as the likeness of

discussed with client and a blueprint or concept is agreed upon. A color
rendering is prepared and approved. Once the artwork is completed client is
called to the studio for approval or artwork. Final touches are made and the
