Concluding artist of the evening, Jayanta Banerjee performed before a packed audience comprising of senior musicians like Dipali Nag, Debaprasad Banerjee and Barun Pal as well as the legendary music lovers of Kolkata who make Kolkata such a special place for any musician. In spite of torrential rains that evening, the hall was almost packed to capacity with music lovers and connoisseurs. Jayanta opened his performance with Alap and Jor in raga Jaijayanti followed by a madhyalaya gat (slower composition) in Rupak tala of 7 beats and drut gat (fast composition) in Ektala of 12 beats. This was followed by three compositions in Mishra Shivaranjani in Rupak tala of 7 beats, Ektala of 12 beats and drut Trital of 16 beats. The concluding presentation was a Purab dhun in Kaharva tala.
